Hogle Zoo with Baby Drew!

This past week we headed down to SLC to get our car fixed and go to Hogle Zoo.  Drew has a deep love for animals, so this was right up his alley.  He ran around like a crazy psycho with his cousins just happy as can be.  The weather was perfect, and it was so fun to hang out with Whit.

I had so many emotions that day with it just being Drew and I.  It felt like for just a moment I was a first time Mom again with one child.  It was an odd feeling it being just us two.  He's such a fun baby to hang out with.  So easy going, and really has the best personality.  I'm so grateful he decided to sneak his way into our home.  He's the best caboose a Mom could ask for.

 The best tour guide around.

We went on the carousel three times.  The first two times Drew really wanted the lion, but the line was just too long.  The third time he took off for it and luckily a little boy passed it up for the peacock.  Lucky little boy loves lions so much!

Love you my baby Drew.  -Mom

6 Years Later!

I've been absent from this blog for 6 years now.  It's time to start journaling again!  I'll start with our new family pictures.  Our boys are growing up.  Carter is 15 (freshman), Tanner is 14 (8th grade), Hayden is 11 (5th grade), KJ is 9 (3rd grade)and baby Drew is 22 months old (moms BFF).  We are loving this time of life.  Our boys are pure JOY!

Basketball

my boys have an obsession.  all they think about is basketball.
i love it, and tj loves it even more than me.  these boys have so much
fun being on the same team.  and i have so much fun watching them dominate.
they would both score around 15-20 points per game, sometimes a few more.
fun, fun, fun.  love them.

here's to many, many more years of basketball.  :)

Brothers

I just got back from the boys school.  Carter thought I had forgotten his lunch.
It was in his backpack.  Silly boy.  I walked out to recess to find him, and ran right
into the cutest thing.  Carter playing football with all of his friends, and Tanner.
Tanner comes home from school so proud that he played with the
2nd and 3rd graders, and Carter just smiles.  What an amazing brother.

I find them in the same bed in the morning, even though they have their own rooms.
It's usually Carter going to find Tanner.  Heavenly Father knew what he was doing when
he sent us Tanner so soon after we had Carter.  He knew they would be best friends.
He knew they would look after each other.

So as I was leaving their school today, Tanner turned and said, "but mom I don't want to stay."
Of course he has his brother right there to say, "it's ok Tan, it's almost time to go home,
and we get to ride bikes."  Sweetest boy.

What a boring life it would be for Carter, without his Tan Man.  And I know Tanner
wouldn't be the boy he is today without his Cart.

Now if we could only figure out how to make them stop growing up.
Sigh.

First day of school.  Carter 2nd grade, Tanner 1st grade.
